This food is not worth the price.The most recent Search and Rescue retrieval was on March 14, when two hikers hopped a barrier near the Angels Rest trail and couldn't find their way out. No worries but he the cook should have prepared the tacos per the menu. I showed him the menu on line about the rice and beans and he said he just goes by what the computer says when he puts in the order. That is when he said they were out of rolls. I asked the server if the meal came with a roll. It came out and one of my boys said it looks like the chicken in the school cafeteria. I told our server that we thought it came with rice and beans. The tacos were brought to the table without rice and beans. The menu says that all of the Mexican meals come with their famous spanish rice and refried beans. They were fantastic! My wife and other son ordered the BYO tacos. One of my boys ordered the chicken tenders. They only had one beer on tap and no fountain drinks. We were in Angel Fire for a few days and went here one night for dinner. There are a couple of new places in Angel Fire with much better service and better food. It's not that we minded paying the higher prices, but the deceptive practice of providing a menu and charging prices higher than those shown on the menu is a place that won't get our business. We were also charged more than the listed menu price for the 3 Enchilada dinner and for the BBQ Burger. and then we were charged more than the prices shown on the menu! For example, the menu showed $13.99 for Chicken Fried Steak but we were charged $17.99. This year the service was a little better and the food was okay as usual. ![]() The food has always been good but not great and the service has always been somewhat lackluster. For a while this was almost the only place in town for a reasonably priced meal that's more than a burger or pizza. We have come to Angel Fire on vacation for years and usually eat at Zeb's. ![]() My husband ordered bbq.(he should have known better) what he revived was mystery meat covered in bbq sauce from a crock pot. I ordered CFS, I was served a mystery meat patty covered in packet gravy. Everything out of the bag and into a deep fryer. I remember 3rd grade cafeteria food being more palatable than the slop served. 20 minutes later we placed our food order( I asked what the veg of the day was and you would have thought I insulted her) 10 minutes later the food arrived, wrong sides given. Still smiling… when she returned I asked if my husband could order a drink, she then made a face and huffed off. When asked we could place our drink order, she rolled her eyes, huffed, actually huffed, then took my drink order but not my husbands. She asked if we had decided what we would like to. When seated it took 15 minutes for her to arrive. Our waitress was quite possibly the worst server I’ve ever encountered. All restaurants are short staffed therefore, we dine with Grace.
